Shipping & Returns
§ Shipping during the winter and summer months is inherently risky. Please be aware that we will delay shipping if we feel that there is a chance your package may be affected by extreme weather conditions. If we delay the shipping of your package, we will inform you with as much notice as possible. If you would like to go ahead with the shipping regardless of the weather, Highlander Wine & Spirits is not liable for any damage to your order from extreme weather conditions.
† Free Calgary delivery only applies to orders with a pre-tax total of $200 or more. Some exclusions apply, and this offer may end, or the qualifying total may change without notice. Not applicable to cancelled orders or orders delayed due to out-of-stock merchandise.
Downtown Corporate Delivery orders are completed in Calgary every Tuesday and Edmonton every Monday. Orders placed within three days of delivery will not be delivered until the next cycle.
Delivery and pickup times may be affected by weather, order volumes or other factors.
Return Policy
We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. If you need to make a return, please review the following guidelines:
All refunds are issued using the original payment method. We do not offer store credit or cash refunds.
General Returns: Items may be returned within 30 days of purchase with a valid receipt. Products must be unopened, unused, and in resalable condition, and returned to the same store where they were purchased.
Opened Bottles: We accept returns of opened alcohol only if the product is flawed or corked. At least 75% of the liquid must remain in the bottle.
High-Value or Aged Products: Products valued over $100 or aged more than 5 years may require additional review before a refund is issued.
Faulty or Damaged Items: If your item is defective or damaged, we’ll assess the issue and determine the best solution. Please bring the item in with your receipt and any relevant details.
Online Orders: Returns for online purchases are accepted only if the item is flawed or damaged. Customers must contact Customer Service within 7 days of receiving the order.
Weather or Shipping Damage: If your item was damaged due to weather or shipping, we’ll review the situation and follow up.
Uncollected Online Orders: Orders not picked up within 30 days are automatically refunded.
Licensee and Third-Party Purchases: Returns for purchases made through licensees or third-party sellers must be handled through the original point of sale.
Gift Cards: Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Restocking Fees: A 10% restocking fee may apply to certain returns or cancellations, depending on the product and reason for return.

By making a purchase through highlanderwine.com or one of our locations, the purchaser agrees that title to the alcoholic beverages purchased passes to the buyer in Alberta. By placing an order the purchaser authorizes Highlander Wine & Spirits on the purchaser’s behalf, to engage a shipper to deliver the purchaser’s order. The purchaser is solely responsible to ensure compliance with applicable law in the province where the purchaser has directed the courier to deliver the purchaser’s order.
