Shipping & Returns
§ Shipping during the winter and summer months is inherently risky. Please be aware that we will delay shipping if we feel that there is a chance your package may be affected by extreme weather conditions. If we delay the shipping of your package, we will inform you with as much notice as possible. If you would like to go ahead with the shipping regardless of the weather, Highlander Wine & Spirits is not liable for any damage to your order from extreme weather conditions.
† Free Calgary delivery only applies to orders with a pre-tax total of $200 or more. Some exclusions apply, and this offer may end, or the qualifying total may change without notice. Not applicable to cancelled orders or orders delayed due to out-of-stock merchandise.
Downtown Corporate Delivery orders are completed in Calgary every Tuesday and Edmonton every Monday. Orders placed within three days of delivery will not be delivered until the next cycle.
Delivery and pickup times may be affected by weather, order volumes or other factors.
Return Policy
Please see the following conditions for the return of online purchases. All refunds are issued using the original payment method. We do not offer store credit or cash refunds.
- Alcohol returns are only accepted if the product is flawed or damaged. We cannot accept returns due to ordering errors.
- Returns related to weather damage during transit will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
- Customers must contact Customer Service within 7 days of delivery to initiate an online return.
- Once the item is received and inspected, refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days.
- If the return is due to a damaged or flawed product, we will refund the full amount including shipping and handling. Alcohol can only be returned if the product is corked or flawed and must include at least 75% of the liquid remaining in the original bottle within one year of purchase. Proof of purchase will be required as this is an AGLC requirement.
- A 10% restocking fee may apply to select returns or canceled orders.
- For all other returns, shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
- Returned products must be packaged securely to prevent damage in transit.
- We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the returned product does not meet the conditions outlined in this policy.
- We will automatically refund product ordered online if not picked up within 30 days of the pickup notification. Please reference Online order pickup policy for more information.

By making a purchase through highlanderwine.com or one of our locations, the purchaser agrees that title to the alcoholic beverages purchased passes to the buyer in Alberta. By placing an order the purchaser authorizes Highlander Wine & Spirits on the purchaser’s behalf, to engage a shipper to deliver the purchaser’s order. The purchaser is solely responsible to ensure compliance with applicable law in the province where the purchaser has directed the courier to deliver the purchaser’s order.
