Alfrocheiro is something of a mystery grape, as its origin is unknown. However, the grape is responsible for some of the most exciting wines coming out of the Daou region of Portugal. These wines have the monumental structure one might expect from first growth Bordeaux or Cru Barolo but at a fraction of the price. It’s a fantastic wine and it’s always fun to explore the world of wine.
