Celebrating the evolution of flavours from barley, spirit and casks. Peat features heavily in distilling history – records show that The Glenturret dug peat from the mosses at the water source for whisky production in the early 1800’s. The Glenturret 10 Years Old Peat Smoked celebrates the varying sources of peat now procured for smoky whiskies. The smoke flavours are constantly evolving and changing through time. This peated spirit style is matured in both first fill and second fill European and American oak casks. The resulting whisky forms a complex single malt that commands a higher strength of 50% ABV.
Tasting Notes: SWEET VANILLA, FRESH CITRUS FRUITS. Remnants of CAMPFIRE SMOKE, understated peat. SUBTLE SWEETNESS and LEMON SHERBET. Dying embers return, softly glowing and SMOKY.
