Description
Famille Carabello-Baum
With its deep purple hue, the Corton Grand Cru 2018 is a Pinot Noir that is fresh, floral, and bursting with energy. The intense nose reveals aromas of violet, fresh rose, morello cherry, cinnamon and clove. The palate is ample, rich and delicate. The tannins are velvety and even show a slight sweetness specific to the vintage. Certainly cut for aging, it would be best to wait a few years before fully enjoying this Grand Cru, even if it is delectable today.
Located in the northern part of Côte de Beaune, Corton is the largest Grand Cru appellation in Burgundy, with territory in the villages of Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses and Ladoix-Serrigny. Positioned facing southeast and southwest, the vineyards of Corton have soils rich in clay and limestone, creating the perfect terroir for Pinot Noir to fully express its beauty and elegance.
