Description
The Borders Distillery takes pride in the art of distilling and blending, whether it be making their own spirit to become Single Malt Scotch Whisky or selecting and marrying others from across Scotland. Using locally-grown barley, all harvested from 11 farms lying within 20 miles of the distillery, The water is drawn from an underground lake beneath the site which contains enough pure water to last the distillery the next 185,000 years- more than enough for a wee dram or two.
For THE RESERVE, the master distiller and blender selects the finest single malts distilled in pot stills around Scotland to blend with grain whiskies distilled in column stills creating this ultra-soft and extremely smooth blended scotch whisky. It should be noted that their fresh distilled liquid must be matured in Scotland, in oak barrels, for a minimum of 3 years and 1 day before the law allows it to be called Scotch Whisky and much, much longer before we allow it to be called Clan Fraser Reserve Blended Scotch Whisky.
