It’s somewhat unusual to see a wine at this price point win a major publication’s “Wine of the Year”, but this is special stuff. Made from very old vines that were planted in 1946 in a cooler part of Mclaren Vale, this is consistently brilliant but the 2021 vintage is something extraordinary. 

“Bright and clear, but with a deep crimson hue, the Old Vine Grenache 2021 is scented and perfumed. Its red fruit sundae glistens like dew drops on a spider’s web, yet it also has a savoury echo towards the finish.”  – James Halliday

Produced from the fruit of bush vines planted in 1946 high on Yangarra Estate’s deep sandy soils. This Old Vine Grenache is complex, perfumed and elegant with a trademark tannin structure.
