A classic expression of Barolo, Fontanafredda’s opens with refined aromas of dried rose, red cherry, and cranberry layered with hints of tar, leather, and subtle spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied and structured, with firm yet polished tannins and vibrant acidity supporting flavours of sour cherry, licorice, and earthy undertones. Aged in traditional oak, it delivers balance and depth with a long, savoury finish. While approachable with decanting, this wine will reward additional cellaring.
