“Domaine Courbis 2017 Cornas Champelrose
95 Points Jeb Dunnuck
What an exciting find this was. It’s difficult to find good wines from the Northern Rhone at affordable prices, so we were beyond excited when we came across this. The Cornas Champelrose is better than just good, it’s truly an outstanding wine with phenomenal aging potential. We only managed to secure a handful cases so act quickly, these won’t last long.
“”The 2017 Cornas Champelrose comes from granite soils and was brought up in 25% new French oak. Its deep purple color is followed by plenty of classic granite character in its damp earth, crushed rock, gravelly minerality, liquid violet, and ripe blue fruits. Medium to full-bodied, with beautiful purity, no hard edges, and a great, great finish, this is a Cornas readers should snatch up.”” – Jeb Dunnuck
