91 Points Jeb Dunnuck
The new vintage of Chateau Pesquie’s Terrasses has arrived and it’s as good as ever. It’s shocking that a wine at this price point can display this level of complexity and longevity. As Jeb Dunnuck notes in his review, if you buy a case of this, there’s no rush at all to drink it.
“A wine that has almost always ranked high on my top value list over the past decade or more… More medium-bodied, lively, and beautifully textured, with silky tannins, it’s another no-brainer red that would be one hell of a house red. You can enjoy bottles today or safely cellar them for upwards of a decade. I recently finished a case of the 2005 that was still going strong, so this wine has plenty of longevity.”- Jeb Dunnuck
Deep ruby colour. Intense nose with spicy notes (especially black pepper) and red berries. This very balanced wine offers very round tannins and fresh berries aromas, with some floral and spicy flavours.
Very easy to match with simple dishes such as pizzas, kebabs, charcuterie, vegetable pies or salads to more ambitious cuisine like terrines, poultry (guineafowl, turkey), and roasted or grilled meats.
Blend: 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah
Chateau Pesquié is the story of three generations of passionate winemakers.
