“Chateau Meyney 2018 St Estephe
95 points James Suckling, 94 Points Decanter
Wow, what a great Bordeaux this is at a very affordable (for Bordeaux) price. It’s opulent for Left Bank Bordeaux but it’s also impeccably balanced. The plush fruit and refined tannins mean this will drink well young. However, it has the structure to age for 15+ years if that’s what you are looking for. If you buy a complete six pack, this comes in a beautiful wooden box, however, there is a very limited supply, so act quickly.
“”It’s clear that this is hugely concentrated, as is the Montrose right next door, but there’s also beautiful juice and freshness underneath the black fruits and the powerful grip. Tannins, acidity and fruit: it’s all there. This is great quality and should be long-lived, with a rich palate, evenly balanced and austere in all the right places. Another good vintage at this increasingly impressive property.”” – Decanter Magazine
