Always a favourite, Castillo de Monseran Garnacha delivers immense value and drinking pleasure. There are bright raspberry and spice notes, and the wine is well-balanced and fun to drink. If this isn’t the best value in the world of wine, it’s certainly on a very short list of contenders.
Dark red-black colour. Intense plum, damson aromas almost blackberry. Soft lush palate, rich flavours of dark fruit. The tannins are present without being firm. A great wine for tomato-based pasta dishes, cold cut platters and mixed tapas.
Castillo de Monseran is part of the Bodegas San Valero cooperative owned by more than 700 small independent growers with an average of 9 acres of vines, all known for their extremely low yields and exceptional quality. Castillo de Monseran’s old-world charm and logo represent the traditional Spanish castles found throughout the region.
