Artéis & Co, with a focus on high-quality, artisanal, vintage champagne, was born in 2013. It is the brainchild of Chef de Cave Fabien Gay (who previously worked at Perrier-Jouët and Mumm) and Jean-Philippe Diot, a grower based in Vinay. Building on their solid experience and knowledge they wanted to build a project that celebrates expression and craftsmanship, rather than being bound by a house style. Their story, albeit brief, is already a successful one: they produce world-class champagnes that rival those of the most prestigious houses for a fraction of the price.
30% Chardonnay | 35% Pinot Noir | 35% Pinot Meunier
Appearance: The light pink salmon colour gives a genuinely fresh feel to the eye
Nose: A sharp, straightforward and elegantly powerful nose with yellow fruit notes, blood orange, grapefruit, and some discrete red fruits such as strawberry and raspberry coulis and dried apricot strengthen the complexity of the wine
Palate: The attack is sharp, fresh and clean, the wine is slowly settling on the palate with an elegant mousse texture and light roundness suggesting a gourmand wine; the finale, tense and long, is fresh and lively with a pleasant bitterness
