Artéis & Co, with a focus on high-quality, artisanal, vintage champagne, was born in 2013. It is the brainchild of Chef de Cave Fabien Gay (who previously worked at Perrier-Jouët and Mumm) and Jean-Philippe Diot, a grower based in Vinay. Building on their solid experience and knowledge they wanted to build a project that celebrates expression and craftsmanship, rather than being bound by a house style. Their story, albeit brief, is already a successful one: they produce world-class champagnes that rival those of the most prestigious houses for a fraction of the price.
50% Chardonnay | 40% Pinot Noir | 10% Pinot Meunier
Appearance: A golden robe with an intense creamy mousse
Nose: A straight and direct nose with initial aromas of white fruits followed by yellow fruits with a slight maturity giving a pleasing complexity and roundness; a few aromas of mocha, confit fruits and dairy notes give body and richness
Palate: A straightforward attack and refined minerality, a great vivaciousness on the tip of the tongue, a sharp and tense wine which slowly opens up on the palate to a round gourmet wine; finale tense and in length
