Highlander has some amazing clients that have been growing their wine collections for years. So naturally we wanted to start featuring some of their wine rooms! 🍷

This collection is from a gentleman in Calgary. He has been collecting wine for a little over 35 years and he built this wine room himself. 😳 😍 (swipe to see).

We had the opportunity to ask him a couple questions:

(H): Does your collection focus on any certain types of wine?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
French, Italian, Australian, and some American wines. I would say those regions have been my main focus.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(H): What's one of your favorite bottles right now?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A 1998 Cháteaimeuf du Pape - Dieux Télégraphe. We had it last night and it’s still drinking well. It was complex with earthy notes, you can still pick up fresh blackberry and it had a long, smooth finish.

(H): Do you have any tips for other collectors?
Come up with a system to remember things about the bottles you save. I always print out the Highlander email descriptions when I pick up bottles from them, then I store the description with the bottle, it helps me remember things years later.

And establish a decoder ring ... so only you can find the bottle you’re after 😂
